Polar Capital is set to launch clean energy and clean mobility funds for its newly acquired sustainable thematic equity team, which it hired from Robeco Switzerland earlier this month.
Set to launch in Q4 2021, the clean energy fund will target "the full renewable energy sector", Polar Capital chief executive Gavin Rochussen told Investment Week, while the clean mobility fund will incorporate electric vehicles and their networks, transport and "anything to do with mobility in a sustainable area".
