eToro launches portfolio to reap gender diversity benefits

Social investing network eToro has launched its new FemaleLeadership Smart Portfolio, which provides investors with exposure to companies with industry-leading gender equality credentials.

The portfolio was launched following analysis of a global survey of 21,980 firms from piie.com, which found that a greater proportion of women in leadership positions positively correlates with a firm's profitability, as well as its employee wellbeing, mentorship, and diversity & inclusion initiatives. FemaleLeadership Smart Portfolio comprises 35 US stocks from across eToro's investable universe, which are ranked using gender diversity metrics, stock liquidity, analyst consensus ratings and market cap.  For each of the companies in the portfolio, at least 40% of their executives and ...
