The Schroder British Opportunities trust has formed a new valuations committee, in an attempt to offer greater oversight on private equity valuations and boost shareholder confidence.
The committee will be chaired by director Tim Jenkinson, who also works as a professor at Saïd Business School, with a focus on private equity, IPOs and institutional asset management. SBO said the decision to form the committee "recognises the importance of the board's oversight role on valuations and the need for shareholders to have confidence in the outcomes".
