Canada Life AM shutters Global Infrastructure and Global Equity Income funds

'Not commercially viable'

Canada Life Asset Management has closed its Global Infrastructure and Global Equity Income funds, due to a surge in redemption requests.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "We can confirm that the WS Canlife Global Infrastructure Fund and WS Canlife Global Equity Income Fund closed on 27 October. "Following recent redemption requests from investors, both funds were not commercially viable or in a position to deliver the best outcomes for investors."
