Candriam merges teams to create alternatives platform as absolute return boss exits

Candriam has merged several specialist teams to create a "unified" alternative investments platform, with Steeve Brument promoted to lead the division as global head of alternatives.

The Candriam alternative investments platform, which manages €23bn in assets, will bring together the absolute return quantitative equity, quantitative multi-asset and multi-management teams to "optimise synergies".  The Luxembourg-headquartered asset manager will also be increasing its ESG integration efforts within alternative investments and intends to launch ESG-focused absolute return solutions.
