Pictet has launched an investment research institute led by Maria Vassalou, Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s former co-chief investment officer for multi-asset solutions.

Based in Geneva, the Pictet Research Institute will focus on researching topics with long-term implications for investment, from macro and geopolitics to portfolio implementation solutions.  The institute will have its own dedicated staff of PhD-level researchers and will also collaborate with select academics and think tanks, as well as draw on the firm's internal experts.  Pictet Group posts 3.7% drop in profits for H1 2023 Vassalou, who holds a PhD in financial economics from London Business School, will report to Sébastien Eisinger, managing partner at Pictet.  She brings ov...
