Research house RSMR has rated the WS Macquarie Global Infrastructure Securities fund for the first time, Investment Week can reveal.
RSMR commended the strategy for its long-term approach to performance, a lack of ties to market cycles, and its investment in ‘pure' listed infrastructure companies, which own and operate physical infrastructure assets, rather than support or service companies which do not. "The nature of the investment process means the fund is most effective in market conditions where companies are being priced with greater reference to fundamentals than short-term market sentiment," the research house explained.
