IA Japan sector boasts highest number of funds beating peers on a regular basis

IA Japan once again topped the charts for the sector with the highest number of consistently performing funds in the first quarter of 2024, according to the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Multi-Manager Fund Watch survey.

The sector has achieved the top position for a third quarter in a row, with eight out of 68 funds (11.8%) delivering a top quartile performance as at 31 March 2024, followed by the IA Global Mixed Bond sector in second place with six out of 71 funds (8.5%). On the other side of the spectrum, the IA £ Corporate Bond and the IA £ Strategic Bond sectors managed to avoid the bottom with one fund achieving the returns target, while all funds in the IA UK Equity Income sector failed to meet this hurdle.
