Home REIT has started legal proceedings against former investment adviser Alvarium, as the beleaguered trust hits back at Harcus Parker's shareholder claim that it misled investors.

In a stock exchange notice today (18 April), the trust said it has provided a "comprehensive response" to a pre-action letter issued by Harcus Parker on behalf of a group of shareholders claiming that Home and "certain other parties provided false, untrue and/or misleading information to investors". Home REIT has denied the allegations and seeks to defend itself against them. Home REIT paid over £1m for row of terraced houses later converted into large-scale cannabis grow Additionally, the trust said it has issued pre-action letters to its former alternative investment fund manager...
