Pictet AM launches AI-backed global equity fund

Pictet Asset Management has launched a global equity fund utilising artificial intelligence for stock selection to create an “enhanced” index strategy tracking the MSCI World.

The Pictet-Quest AI Driven Global Equities fund seeks to "harness the scale and efficiency of artificial intelligence for stock selection" and targets a 1.5% return above the index. "Enhanced indexation" is used in the fund rather than replication, which the firm claimed to be a "more powerful replacement", as an additional 1% in performance can be meaningful in a "low growth environment " for equities.
