Schroders co-head of equities Rory Bateman to retire in 2025

Schroders' co-head of equities Rory Bateman is set to retire in February 2025 after a 17-year career at the firm.

Bateman has also been co-manager of the Schroder British Opportunities (SBO) trust since it launched in 2020, taking a lead of the public equity portfolio side while Tim Creed, Schroders Capital's head of private equity investments, managed the trust's private equity portfolio. According to SBO's board, Bateman will continue to work as a co-portfolio manager until his retirement next year, working alongside Creed, as well Uzo Ekwue and Peraveenan Sriharan.
