The chair of Edinburgh Worldwide (EWI), Jonathan Simpson-Dent, has sent a letter to Saba Capital’s founder and CEO Boaz Weinstein, the latter of whom is attempting to oust Simpson-Dent from his current job.
Back on 18 December, the US hedge fund published a letter calling out the Edinburgh trust along with CQS Natural Resources Growth & Income, Henderson Opportunities and European Smaller Companies trust, Herald Investment Trust (HRI), Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust and Keystone Positive Change and requisitioning general meetings at all seven firms to reconstitute their respective boards of directors.
