Small and medium sized businesses are the lifeblood of our domestic economy. They account for 99.9% of businesses, 61% of employment and more than 50% of turnover across the UK.
Therefore, they are a crucial element of not only the economic performance within the country, but the achievement of our national environmental and social ambitions. The merits of investing in smaller companies are well known. Over the long term, smaller companies have demonstrated an ability to consistently deliver superior returns.
