As we approach the end of another AGM season, the issue of ESG has been in the crosshairs of many shareholders.
Largely credited to post-pandemic sentiment, we saw judgements and discretion from remuneration committees, with over half of UK chief executives expected to not receive a bonus this year. Whilst executive pay has been the headline grabber, it is equally interesting to see how businesses will apply their influence to improve governance more broadly - most notably the number of women on boards.
