Time to turn tipping points to our advantage

We are reaching multiple climate tipping points. Recent research reports suggests that due to intentional deforestation and wildfires, savannas are expanding within the Amazon, putting it at risk of a general dieback. Similarly, a May 2021 study on Greenland ice sheet indicates that it, too, is approaching a tipping point as surface melt flows down to the base, both reducing the height of the ice sheet and leading it to be more exposed to warmer air flows.
