August was a bit of an odd month, with several major events happening, but at the same time, a whole lot of nothing as well. On a headline basis, we had the breakdown of the Liontrust-GAM deal, with the latter now looking at how it can repay the £8.9m loan it was granted by its former potential buyer within the next month.
