Investment Week is delighted to announce The Diversity Project Charity as its charity partner for this year's Women in Investment Awards, to take place on Wednesday 27 November.
The not-for-profit organisation, which aims to raise money for charities that have been affected by the President's Club disbandment, also supports a number of regional charities focusing on inclusivity within the investment and savings industry.
Sarah Bates, chair of The Diversity Project Charity, said the organisation is "delighted to be Investment Week's charity of choice at the Women in Investment Awards".
"We are really looking forward to the event, to celebrate the achievements of the many amazing women within the investment industry and to champion diversity and inclusion," she added.
"We have had a busy year at The Diversity Project Charity, so far having helped 19 charities and made £351,731 in grants. It has been wonderful to see the impact and to make real differences to people's lives in the UK."
The Diversity Project will be fundraising for two children and young people's charities at the awards: HoneyPot Children's Charity, which provides outreach support for young carers; and Treloar Trust, which provides education and care for disabled young people.
Katrina Lloyd, editor of Investment Week, said: "We are very pleased to join with The Diversity Project Charity as our chosen charity for the third annual Investment Week Women in Investment Awards.
"This charity makes a huge difference to many people's lives and their support for charities and research focusing on diversity and inclusivity is very well aligned with the key aims driving our awards, as we strive to accelerate change in these areas within the investment industry."
From 2020, The Diversity Project Charity will additionally support charities and research focusing on its social mobility, diversity and inclusivity aims. More information on these aims can be found here.
