The Chinese consumer sector has been a major talking point among investors in Asia.
Consumer stocks are a strong growth area of the market, but valuations have climbed to extreme levels, presenting a dilemma for China investors such as Charlie Awdry. His £746m China Opportunities fund, a top performer in the IMA China/Greater China sector, had a strong year of outperformance in 2010 and Awdry’s blend of top-down and bottom-up analysis has served him well through recent volatility.
