GLG’s Sandy Rattray and Fabrice Bay take an unusual approach to asset allocation for active managers. They admit to allowing brokers to do the hard work when it comes to company research and then acting on these recommendations. This strategy, based on their own extensive research, has led the GLG Esprit Continental Europe to return 44.4% over one year and 63.2% over five years, according to Morningstar.
