Mike Riddell joined Allianz Global Investors (GI) in 2015, when the group began bringing its fixed income products in-house, having previously outsourced management to sister company PIMCO. The firm was looking for a manager with a background in gilt funds and experience in building out teams and strategies. Riddell had over a decade under his belt within the fixed income team at M&G, first as a product specialist and then a fund manager.
