The FTSE 100 dipped closer to the 4,000 mark this morning, with miners again dragging the index down.
It is down 23 points (0.55%) to 4,136, from yesterday's close, with Fresnillo the biggest loser, falling 3.8% to £4.68. Lonmin and Rio Tinto were also among the bottom five performers, down 2.8% to £10.02 and 2.4% to £19.20 respectively. Home Retail Group and Pearson were the top two risers, the Argos and Homebase owner up 1.5% to £2.70 and the publisher 1.36% to £5.94. British Airways reacted positively to crude oil prices falling, rising 1.17% to £1.21.
