The Insight Investment Monthly Income fund and Absolute Insight UK Equity Market Neutral fund will keep their OBSR ‘A' ratings, despite the group's sale to BNY Mellon.
OBSR says it is satisfied the products' managers will be able to "preserve their autonomy and culture", despite the change of ownership. Monthly Income, managed by Tim Rees, is ranked fourth of 20 in the IMA UK Equity & Bond Income sector over 12 months to 5 August, down 4.4%, according to Lipper. Andrew Cawker's UK Equity Market Neutral fund has returned 6.46% over the same period. "OBSR does not expect the acquisition to have a significant impact on the management of the rated funds," it says. Lloyds Banking Group yesterday agreed to sell Insight to BNY for £245m.
