Eurozone growth flat in Q4 but more positive signs for UK

The Eurozone economy failed to grow in the final quarter of last year, revised figures suggest.

The region's economy was previously reported to have grown by 0.1% but the European statistics office said the economy did not grow on a quarter-by-quarter basis in the three months to December. It also contracted by 2.2% year-on-year - higher than the previously estimated rate of 2.1%, said Eurostat. Although the region's rebound stalled at the tail-end of last year, recent PMI data indicates growth in the first quarter gathered pace.
