Schroders' head of US large caps departs

Schroders' head of US large-cap equities Jonathan Armitage is leaving the firm after almost two decades to return to Australia.

He was co-manager of the Schroder ISF US All Cap, Global Equity Alpha, and Global Alpha Plus funds. Joanna Shatney, portfolio manager on the US large-cap equity team, will assume Armitage’s role as head of US large caps, and will also take control of the US All Cap fund. Virginie Maisonneuve, the head of global and international equities, takes on the Global Equity Alpha and Global Alpha Plus funds, and will remain the final decision maker on all global mandates, the group said.
