Former chairman of the Investment Management Association (IMA) and previous chief executive of F&C Asset Management Robert Jenkins has been appointed as an external member of the interim Financial Policy Committee (FPC).
The interim FPC has been established to prepare the ground, in advance of legislation, for the creation of the FPC as the body responsible for the stability of the financial system as a whole. The Chancellor today announced Jenkins will fill the vacancy on its board left by the departure of Sir Richard Lambert, after consultation with governor of the Bank of England Mervyn King.
