BNY Mellon has named Simon Nichols as lead manager on the £290m Newton Bridge fund, replacing Caroline Tye.
Nichols has been with Newton since 2001 and was lead manager of the Cautious Managed fund and alternate manager of the Newton Higher Income fund. Nichols will manage the fund with current alternate manager Julie-Ann Ashcroft. Tye, who was recently appointed head of private client business at Newton, said: "A priority was to appoint a new lead manager to the Newton Bridge fund who is experienced in managing multi-asset strategies in line with Newton's global thematic investment process.
