FSA plans August awareness blitz on RDR

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is planning to ramp up its efforts to make consumers aware of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) next month.

In recent weeks, the regulator has come under criticism for not doing enough to publicise the changes, which are now just months away. So far, the highlight of communication efforts has been a two-page leaflet, which the Financial Services Consumer Panel criticised for being too brief. Speaking at a recent conference, Colin Wilcox, from the RDR implementation team, said the regulator had recognised there was still more to do and promised there was "a lot more coming".
