Former Chancellor Alistair Darling has written an open letter to his successor George Osborne warning he must change course on the economy now or cause "immeasurable damage".
In an open letter published in the Sunday People, the Labour MP claimed both Osborne and the Bank of England have "given up on any plan for growth". He called for "urgent action to promote growth" or it will be years before the UK recovers.
