Mark Hoban has been moved across from the Treasury, where he is currently financial secretary, to the Department for Work and Pensions as part of the government reshuffle.
Downing Street has confirmed the move, although no replacement for the vacated position at the Treasury has been announced yet. Hoban will take over Chris Grayling's role as employment minister, while Grayling himself will become Justice Secretary. Hoban has held his influential ministerial role since the coalition government was formed in 2010. Meanwhile, Mark Prisk has been appointed as the government's housing minister after Grant Shapps was promoted to Conservative Party co-chairman. More to follow.
