Hedge fund partner to join Coupland Cardiff

Asia specialist Coupland Cardiff Asset Management is taking over an Asian small cap fund managed by Stone Drum Partners, with manager Charlie Erith also moving across.

Investment Week can reveal the Asia specialist manager will take over the $22m worth of assets currently held in the Stone Drum Asia Focus fund, then create a new subfund in its own range. The fund will be renamed CC Asia Focus, and will continue to be run by Erith. Erith has been a partner at Stone Drum since 2011, having previously spent five years at Boyer Allan Investment Management and 12 years at Cazenove. The fund is a concentrated high conviction portfolio of 30-40 Asia Pacific stocks. Over the year to 13 May it has returned 17%, beating the offshore Asia Pacific ex Japan ...
