UK model portfolios adopted 'risk on' mode in Q4 2016

Natixis Global Asset Management's quarterly UK Portfolio Barometer for Q4 has revealed investors became more bullish during the last three months of 2016, moving from fixed income to equity strategies and increasing allocation to small caps.

The firm's latest UK Portfolio Barometer, which tracks 108 risk-rated model portfolios, found allocators had been shifting from fixed income into equities nad alternatives on conservative, moderate and aggressive model portfolios. In the moderate portfolios, investors most notably rotated out of global and UK large-cap equity sectors into UK small caps, suggesting a heightened appetite for risk.
