Invesco PowerShares has made a number of hires following the departure of former EMEA head Bryon Lake, including the appointment of Ashkan Daghestani from iShares.
Lake recently left the firm after 11 years at PowerShares and Matthieu Grosclaude, chief operating officer of EMEA retail, took over his responsibilities in the interim. Since then, the group has hired Daghestani as business development director in the UK and also appointed Nima Pouyan (pictured) as head of Invesco PowerShares Switzerland. They will both be responsible for driving business development in their respective regions by working closely with wealth managers, family offices and institutional clients in both the insurance and corporate space.
