Quaero Capital's Real Assets fund given UCITS status

Will also only invest in infrastructure

Quaero Capital have changed the structure of their Real Assets fund to focus solely on infrastructure investments, thereby dropping holdings in other alternative asset classes, while also listing the product under a UCITS umbrella.

Managed by Mark Ebert, fund manager, and Christopher Gelli, co-founder and fund manager at Quaero Capital, the fund was launched in 2012 offering exposure to alternative investments such as real estate, forestry and agriculture, as well as infrastructure. However, the firm said there is potential for slowing in growth in real estate values, while the universe of agriculture and forestry stocks is shrinking.
