BlackRock and JP Morgan CEOs sound alerts on state of US economy

Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, and Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, have highlighted problems ahead for the US economy, including uncertainty surrounding the new Trump administration.

Fink said growth was slowing in the US, largely due to concerns over whether US President Donald Trump can pass many of his reforms through Congress, according to Bloomberg. He also told CNBC that businesses and consumers are waiting to see whether Trump can deliver on deregulation and tax reform, after failure to repeal Obama's Affordable Care Act. Have investors become too optimistic about the impact of a Trump presidency? Fink said: "There is a greater worry that these proposed changes are going to be harder and harder to execute. You are seeing a slowing down of our economy." ...
