VanEck launches local currency EMD ETF in Europe

VanEck Investments has launched an ETF investing in local currency bonds in emerging markets in Europe.

Tracking the JP Morgan GBI-EMG Core index, the VanEck Vectors J.P. Morgan EM Local Currency Bond UCITS ETF will provide exposure to local currency bonds issued by emerging market governments. The firm said local currencies tend to have a lower correlation to the US dollar and can therefore act as a diversifier in a portfolio. The ETF has a total expense ratio of 0.47% and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
