Phil Haworth, deputy head of equities at Kames Capital, is joining Audrey Ryan as co-manager on the UK Opportunities fund, as the firm adopts a modular approach on the vehicle.
The move means the fund will "sharpen" its focus on medium to smaller companies with underappreciated growth potential. A collection of smaller-cap stocks with long-term growth prospects will supplement the core multi-cap process. Furthermore, Ryan and Haworth will be able to add themes to the portfolio which they think will drive growth momentum across the market.
