Sterling dips as May's lead narrows further

Sterling has fallen lower this morning as Prime Minister Theresa May's lead in the polls once again narrowed.

According to Bloomberg, one poll showed May's Conservative party lead had been slashed to just five points over Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn after Monday's television debate where the two were interviewed by Jeremy Paxman.  On the news, sterling fell 0.25% to $1.281 in early morning trading as investors continue to worry May's grip on this election campaign is slipping.
