GAM has confirmed the hire of Adrian Gosden, former co-manager of the £6.1bn Artemis Income fund, while announcing plans to launch an equity income fund later in the year.
Gosden left Artemis in June last year after spending 13 years managing the High Income fund alongside Adrian Frost and Nick Shenton, both of whom continue to run the fund, and the £1.1bn High Income fund, which he managed with Alex Ralph. He joined the Artemis UK equity team in October 2003, having previously worked at Société Générale Asset Management and Fleming Investment Management.
