PIMCO is set to shut its £15.1m Global Investors Series UK Low Duration fund as of 18 December, after soft-closing the fund on 28 September.
Launched in September 2006, the fund is managed by Mike Amey, managing director of the firm's London office and head of sterling portfolio management. It invests over two-thirds of its assets in sterling-denominated, fixed income securities with a portfolio duration within two years of the benchmark and currency exposure limited to 10% of assets.
