The Treasury Committee has launched an inquiry to identify the barriers to women entering and progressing in the financial services industry.
With a focus on HM Treasury's Women in Finance Charter, the inquiry will look at the value of having greater gender balance to financial firms across a range of positions. It will also study the role of the government and financial regulators in setting an example for good gender diversity practices. The first evidence session of the inquiry will begin on 24 October with Jayne-Anne Gadhia, CEO of Virgin Money and government women in finance champion.
