Well-known European fund manager Ajay Gambhir is to retire from RWC Partners at the end of 2017 to pursue interests outside fund management in the not-for-profit and charity sector.
Gambhir joined RWC in 2007, where he runs the €53m Europe Absolute Alpha fund. He moved from JPMAM, where he was lead portfolio manager for the 'Dynamic' European Equity funds, to be reunited with his former colleagues Dan Mannix and Peter Harrison. According to FE, his team at J.P. Morgan was responsible for over $8bn of assets and Gambhir had direct responsibility for managing over $6bn, all of which was either in absolute return or unconstrained mandates. Before joining J.P.
