Former co-director of global macro research at Brandywine Global Investment Management Chen Zhao has launched independent research firm Alpine Macro with former colleagues at BCA Research Group Tony Boeckh and David Abramson.

Alpine Macro will look to provide analysis, forecasts, insights and actionable investment strategy suggestions. The firm will focus on providing contrarian views in order to help investors manage risk and make asset allocation decisions. Zhao was chief global strategist at BCA Research with Boeckh, who was chairman and editor-in-chief of BCA, and Abramson, who was chief US strategist.
