Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has launched a unit trust version of its Future World index tracker fund for retail investors.
Tracking the FTSE All-World ex CW Climate Balanced Factor index, the L&G Future World Equity Factors Index fund looks to tackle climate change risks in order to protect investments in the future. Launched on 18 January, the fund will sit in the IA Global sector and has an ongoing charges figure (OCF) of 0.30%. It employs a climate tilt which allows it to avoid companies with worse-than-average carbon emissions and fossil fuels, while increasing its exposure to companies that generate profit through low-carbon assets.
