BNP Paribas AM unveils absolute return strategy

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has launched an absolute return strategy in response to increasing investor demand for the sector as a result of its low correlation with underlying markets.

Launched on 17 January, the Parvest Global Equity Absolute strategy will be managed by the firm's global equity team, headed up by Simon Roberts, CIO of global equities at BNPP AM. It will look to deliver its target return primarily through stock selection by providing exposure to rising markets as well as seeking to make positive returns in the event of a correction. It also has the ability to take short positions.
