City Hive reveals findings of first Harassment in the City survey

Focus on 'acceptable' workplace behaviour

Over a third of people working in fund and wealth management say they have been subject to unwanted physical contact at work, according to research carried out by City Hive.

The Harassment in the City survey, carried out towards the end of last year, questioned 116 people, 70% of whom worked in fund and wealth management and 100 of whom were female. Although 83% said an anti-harassment environment promoted improved productivity, it found 40% of people had received unwanted physical contact in the work environment and 30% said they had been subject to rumours in the office.
