NN Investment Partners launches short duration EMD fund

NN Investment Partners (NN IP) has expanded its emerging markets range with the launch of a short duration EM bond fund, in response to client demand.

Managed by NN IP's senior portfolio manager Marco Ruijer the fund is a US-dollar denominated portfolio of 123 securities with a maximum duration of five years. Benchmarked against the 3m USD Libor index, the fund can only invest in sovereign and corporate issuers with a minimum size of $500m in order to avoid liquidity risk, while the credit rating of the portfolio should average BBB. Furthermore, it has a maximum single country exposure of 10%, a maximum total corporate bond exposure of 50% and a maximum single corporate issuer exposure of 3%.
