Waverton IM appoints Tineke Frikkee as UK equities specialist

Waverton Investment Management has hired former Smith & Williamson manager Tineke Frikkee as a UK equities specialist.

Frikkee (pictured) left Smith & Williamson in January after five years with the firm during which she managed the £12m UK Equity Income fund, subsequently taken over by deputy manager Mark Swain, and the Global Growth fund. Prior to Smith & Williamson, Frikkee spent 15 years at Newton Investment Management where she managed the firm's £3bn Higher Income fund and £1.2bn in other UK equity funds. Also joining Waverton is Stefan Rheinwald as head of Japanese equity research from Catalytic Investment Group, based in Singapore. Rheinwald started his career as a Japanese equity portfolio...
