Kames Capital has promoted investment manager Sandra Holdsworth to head of rates as John McNeill departs to join a Monaco-based family office after 12 years with the firm.
McNeill (pictured) joined Kames, formerly known as Aegon Asset Management, in 2006 from Resolution Asset Management, where he ran global government bond funds. Kames enters US market as part of wider Aegon AM strategy Prior to this, he held a number of roles in the fixed income teams at Mitsubishi Bank and IDEAglobal. As well as the head of rates position, Holdsworth will take over running the $96m Kames Emerging Market Bond Opportunities fund from McNeill and co-manager Theo Holland, who has also left the firm after joining from Ashmore in 2017.
