AXA Investment Managers has expanded its UK equities team with the appointment of ex-BlackRock and Aviva fund manager Simon Young.
Joining on 17 September, Young will take control of the £85m AXA Framlington Blue Chip Equity Income fund while also helping with the team's UK research. The group said this will enable current manager of the fund Jamie Forbes-Wilson to focus on its AXA Distribution funds, which he has been running since February 2016. Young joins from Heartwood Partners, an investor relations consultancy.
