Carmignac hires chief economist from Ostrum AM

Carmignac has appointed Raphael Gallardo as chief economist from Ostrum Asset Management, previously Natixis AM.

Gallardo spent five years at Ostrum, where he was a cross-asset strategist, responsible for monitoring the macro scenario across FX, rates, commodities and equities. Prior to that, he was head of macroeconomic research at AXA Investment Managers for five years between 2007 and 2012. Gallardo started his career at BNP Paribas where he spent ten years in a number of different roles including senior strategist.
